FAQ

How should we dress for our family session?

I always encourage families to choose outfits that feel comfortable, natural, and true to who you are — because when you feel good, it shows in your images. Soft, neutral tones and simple textures tend to photograph beautifully, helping the focus stay on connection rather than clothing. Avoid large logos, busy patterns, or overly matching outfits; instead, aim for coordinating colors that complement one another.

The most important thing? Choose pieces you can move in, breathe in, and really be yourselves in.

To make things even easier, I’ve created a detailed Style Guide with color palettes, seasonal suggestions, and outfit inspiration to help you feel fully prepared and confident for your session. You’ll receive it as soon as your booking is confirmed.

When will we receive our photos?

Your fully edited gallery will be delivered within 1-2 weeks. Each image is edited with care to reflect the emotion, tone, and authenticity of your session. If you need your images sooner, rush delivery options are available.

What time of day is best for photos?

My favorite time to shoot is golden hour — the soft, warm light right after sunrise or before sunset. This light creates the dreamy, emotional look you see in my work. That said, I can work with anything and indoor or studio-style sessions can be scheduled anytime during the day.

What if my child has a hard time during the session?

Don’t worry — that’s completely normal. My sessions focus on interaction rather than stiff poses. I use movement, conversation, and natural moments, which helps everyone relax and actually enjoy the experience.

What happens if the weather is bad?

I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session. If we’re expecting heavy rain, high winds, or anything that could impact the quality of your photos, I’m always happy to reschedule at no cost. Soft clouds and gentle breezes actually photograph beautifully, so we’ll only move the session if the conditions truly limit us.

Do you help with posing?

Absolutely. I’ll guide you into natural, comfortable movements — nothing stiff or awkward. My approach blends gentle direction with candid moments so you look relaxed, connected, and authentically yourselves.

Can we include our pets?

Yes! Pets are absolutely welcome. Bring treats, a leash, and someone who can step in to help if needed — we’ll make sure your furry family members feel comfortable too! As you can see from my photos, I love animals!

Do you travel?

Absolutely. I’m based in North Little Rock but love exploring new places. Travel fees may apply depending on distance.
